We satisfy the needs of armed forces and security forces for the remote-control weapon system (RCWS) with our indigenously developed KORALP product family.
This family includes solutions that can be equipped with weapons of various calibres, ranging from 5.56 mm to 30 mm, and which are produced wholly by our company, from software to all mechanical parts, and from optical systems to coatings, and which are not subject to any export regulation.
Developed specifically for operations in urban areas, AŞKAR stands out with its agility and manoeuvrability. Offering a high level of ballistic and mine protection to its users, this vehicle can reach speeds of up to 150 km per hour.
Another significant advantage of AŞKAR is that it has been developed free from the export restrictions that may be applied by other countries. All of the parts procured from abroad and used on the vehicle are commercial automotive components that can be procured from elsewhere.
Another solution that distinguishes Best Grup from its competitors in the defence sector is the vehicle ballistic protection services we offer to end users. Through this service, we offer ballistic protection at the desired level for many civilian vehicles, including cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and panel vans.
One of the most significant factors in hidden armour applications is the decrease in the performance of the vehicle after armouring. Thanks to our high engineering and integration capabilities, we can also strengthen the vehicle chassis and install a more powerful engine as part of our armouring services.
Based on our experience in remote-control vehicles and the needs of our country in this field, we have headed towards working in the field of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The first outcome of our work in this field was the FEDAİ Unmanned Armed Operation Robot.
FEDAİ is one of the four domestic vehicles selected under an UGV project initiated by the Turkish Defence Industry Agency, with a current configuration that features a KORALP RCWS with a 7.62 mm machine gun. Weighing only 90 kg, the low recoil and accurate stabilization capabilities of KORALP mounted with a 7.62 mm gun is an ideal solution for UGVs of this class. In addition, different payloads can be easily integrated onto the vehicle, given its flexible architecture.
We currently employ 16 engineers, some of whom have completed their Doctorate and Master’s degrees. Our R&D centre has been recognised by the Ministry of Industry and Technology. We support new and creative ideas brought to the table by our employees. These ideas make a significant contribution to our studies.
We plan to put our critical sub-technologies into service as separate products in the future.
Many of the sub-technologies we use in our products can be traced back to our R&D studies. We therefore attach great importance to R&D. We carry out intensive R&D studies in various high-tech fields, and allocate 15% of our turnover every year to R&D.
As a company that prioritize its R&D, engineering, and design capabilities in the projects in which it is involved, we encourage the self-improvement of our employees in these areas, and for those reasons we see our company as an engineering school.
