The Ideal UGV Carrying the Ideal Weapon

Based on our experience in remote-control vehicles and the needs of our country in this field, we have headed towards working in the field of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The first outcome of our work in this field was the FEDAİ Unmanned Armed Operation Robot.

FEDAİ is one of the four domestic vehicles selected under an UGV project initiated by the Turkish Defence Industry Agency, with a current configuration that features a KORALP RCWS with a 7.62 mm machine gun. Weighing only 90 kg, the low recoil and accurate stabilization capabilities of KORALP mounted with a 7.62 mm gun is an ideal solution for UGVs of this class. In addition, different payloads can be easily integrated onto the vehicle, given its flexible architecture.

From Armed Reconnaissance to Rescue of Injured People

FEDAİ was developed for reconnaissance operations ahead of the ingress of personnel, and, when necessary, can eliminate any threats it encounters, especially in operations carried out in built-up areas. The vehicle has successfully passed the tests of different domestic end users under combat conditions. With its tracked structure, FEDAİ can easily traverse trenches of up to 500 mm in width as well as any obstacles it encounters, and is known to operate very effectively in the field. FEDAİ can also haul and rescue injured personnel or light vehicles in hard-to-reach areas with its 400 kg towing capacity.

One of the most important features of FEDAİ is that both the vehicle itself and the integrated KORALP system were designed and produced by Best Grup. This allows any requested configuration changes to be made very quickly. Such a feature is not offered by any other manufacturer of UGVs in this class in Türkiye, and makes FEDAİ unique.
